The Solaris is among the popular Miele vaccum cleaners available in the market today. The vacuum cleaners manufactured by Miele are known for their durability, ergonomic designs and excellent cleaning performance.
Many home owners still have the Miele vacuums they have purchased more than a decade ago and the product is still in good working condition. However, certain situations arise that can cause even a very reliable vacuum to stop working. Should your Solaris stop working, you can try some troubleshooting steps to diagnose the cause of the problem instead of calling a repairman right away and spending some money for the basic troubleshooting the repair man would do. This approach can save you valuable time and money in the long run especially if the problem is simple enough for you to try to resolve yourself. The first thing you need to do is to verify that the vacuum is firmly plugged into an active electric outlet. More often than not, vacuum cleaners are accidentally pulled from the outlet during cleaning. Check if the vacuum is turned on. Make sure that the vacuum’s dust bag has enough room remaining for the new dirt and dusts. If the dust bag is full or overflowing, replace it with a new one. If your problem is the too strong or too weak suction of the vacuum, try adjusting the suction setting. Turn the vacuum on and adjust it to low setting to check if there are blockages in the suction pipe. Working from the brush end, try unclipping each section by means of pressing down the release clips and pulling. After removal, inspect the section for blockages and check if the suction significantly increases.
If the basic troubleshooting steps did not help you identify and resolve the problem, you can contact Miele or the reseller and check if you are entitled to a free repair or replacement under the product warranty.
